Our good friend, admired local chef, and alum of our famous farm dinners, Ryan Hidinger, is fighting against an aggressive form of gallbladder cancer. We’ve banded together with
several Atlanta chefs, restaurant owners, industry folks and slow food people to support Ryan and his wife Jen by spreading the word about the Team Hidi Benefit to be held at the King Plow Center on Sunday, January 27.
For several years now Ryan and Jen have been working on previewing and gathering funds and funders for their future restaurant, Staplehouse. Their goal every year for the last few has been to get Staplehouse open. In an email sent out by Ryan’s wife, Jen, she states that the new goal for 2013 is kick cancer’s butt.
This benefit will feature great food from Atlanta’s best restaurants and all proceeds go to help Ryan and Jen cope financially during this cancer treatment. I know that this event is expensive, but it will be very memorable. Please consider helping spread the word by posting on Facebook or emailing folks you think may be interested.
Check out the details below and visit www.teamdidi.org for more information on how you can help give a little love and strength to this tremendous individual during his road to recovery.
