FoodCorps PY-17: New year, new logo, new sites!

The new FoodCorps service year began on Sept. 1, 2016, and we’re ready to make it the best year on record! Since September nine FoodCorps Americorps service members have been settling into their new journey, connecting kids to healthy food in schools so they can lead healthier lives and reach their full potential.

Georgia Organics became a state partner in 2014, when FoodCorps first arrived in Georgia. Back then, we had eight service members serving in three service sites across the state. Now, going into our third year with FoodCorps, we are happy to announce the addition of two new service sites: Carrollton City Schools and HABESHA, inc.

Our five service sites: FoodBank of Northeast Georgia, Carrollton City Schools, Athens Land Trust, Captain Planet Foundation, HABESHA, Inc.

On the topic of what’s new, FoodCorps underwent a visual refresh this year and we’ve got a new look!Print
