Georgia Organics Partners with SAAFON to Host Organic Peanut Workshop

Workshop speakers Albert Culbreath from UGA College of Agriculture, Jason Edenfield,  UGA Extension Agent for Toombs County and Vontice Jackson of USDA NRCS.

On December 13 Georgia Organics, in partnership with the Southeastern African American Farmers Organic Network (SAAFON), hosted a workshop exploring the opportunity for organic peanut production in Georgia. The workshop was held at the Vidalia Onion and Vegetable Research Center in Lyons, Ga. and was made possible by a grant from the USDA Office of Advocacy and Outreach.

Speakers included Donn Cooper of Cooper Agricultural Services, Vontice Jackson of USDA NRCS, Albert Culbreath from UGA College of Agriculture, and Jason Edenfield,  UGA Extension Agent for Toombs County.
