Continuing Education

Q: I am an early care and education educator or administrator. Is the Summit currently approved for any continuing education credits?
A: The Summit is approved for 6 hours of continuing education for early care educators and administrators through Georgia DECAL’s Georgia Training Approval System.

Q: I am a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist. Is the Summit currently approved for any continuing education credits?
A: We are currently seeking continuing education credits through the Committee on Dietetic Registration. Please check back soon or contact abbie@georgiaorganics.org.

Exhibitors

Q: I am an exhibitor but want to attend workshops, is that cool?
A: Yes! All exhibitors receive one Friday education pass and registration for an onsite Thursday workshop as part of their exhibitor package. Exhibitors will be prompted to register for their education pass in the registration system. Please note that exhibitors can only attend Thursday on site workshops.

Q: I am an exhibitor attending with my business partner or spouse. Can we take turns manning the booth to attend Summit?
A: The exhibitor package includes one Friday education pass, one registration for an onsite Thursday Workshop, and one pass for the Thursday expo reception. You may purchase a booth exhibitor only pass for additional booth staff. The booth exhibitor only pass includes a pass for the Thursday expo reception, and breakfast, lunch, and coffee breaks on Friday.

Lodging

Q: Is there a room block available for discounted hotel lodging?
A: Yes. We have reserved a limited number of rooms at a discounted rate at the nearby Hampton Inn Hampton Inn Augusta-Washington Rd.

To make a reservation by phone: Call the hotel directly at 706-738-4567. In order to receive the group rate, guests need to mention the group name (2017 Farm to School Summit) and group code (FSS).

Registration

Q: I would like to attend the expo reception. What is included?
A: You can register for the Thursday evening expo reception when you register for a Summit workshop, field trip, and/or education pass through the registration system. The reception is $20 ($15 for members of Georgia Organics) and includes delicious hors d’oeuvres and access to the expo area. A cash bar will be available.

Q: I would like to attend the expo reception but do not want to attend any workshops, field trips, or education sessions. Can I still come?
A: Yes! We will be doing on site payment for the Thursday evening reception. Please arrive around 5:30p to reserve your spot.

Georgia Organics Member Code Discounts

Q: Where do I find my Georgia Organics member discount code so that I can receive the 20% discount for my Summit registration items?
A: Current members were sent an email that includes the Summit registration member discount code. If you did not receive the email and you believe your membership is current, please sarah@georgiaorganics.org.

Q: How do I become a Georgia Organics member or renew my membership to receive the discount?
A: Join as a member of Georgia Organics by clicking here. Then scroll down and click on the “Join” button. Once you have completed the membership form and payment, forward your confirmation email to sarah@georgiaorganics.org to receive the membership discount code.

Q: My school or school district is a member. How many staff can use the discount code?
A: Schools that are members can use the member code for up to 3 registrations for Summit. You can register these three attendees together through the registration system and the member code will generate member pricing for all three.

Cancellation & Substitution

Q: I can no longer attend Summit, can I get a refund?
A: Yes, we will refund the registration less a $50 processing fee until 5 p.m. on August 21, 2017. Please e-mail your request to sarah@georgiaorganics.org.

Q: I can no longer attend Summit and would like to substitute someone else for my registration. How do I go about this?
A: We are happy to substitute the name on our end, but it’s up to you to work out the finances of the substitution. Please email us at sarah@georgiaorganics.org and give us the name and email address of your substitute.

Field Trip & Workshop Registration Check in

Q: I am registered for a Thursday workshop. Where do I check in?
A: Attendees registered for Thursday workshops should check in on site at the Summit registration desk before their workshop.

Q: I am registered for the Navigating Farm to School: Roadbumps for the Farmer & School Nutrition Fieldtrip with Burke County Schools. Where do I check in?
A: Attendees registered for this field trip will be notified via email with check in instructions. Please contact abbie@georgiaorganics.org if you have questions.

Q: I am registered for the Unconventional Teaching Gardens field trip. Where do I check in?
A: Attendees registered for this field trip should check in on site at the Summit registration desk before the field trip.

Q: I am registered for the Growing Food and Growing Minds at Episcopal Day School field trip. Where do I check in?
A: Attendees registered for this field trip will be notified via email with check in instructions. Please contact abbie@georgiaorganics.org if you have questions.

Speaker Registrations

Q: I am Thursday workshop or field trip speaker. How do I register for the Summit?
A: All speakers receive a complimentary Friday education pass. If you will not be attending Friday education sessions, you do not need to register.  If you would like to attend Friday education sessions and use your complimentary education pass, you must register through the registration system  here. All speakers have received a code to use when registering that brings their Friday education pass cost down to $0. Can’t find the code? Email kimberlykoogler@georgiaorganics.org

Q: I am a Friday session speaker. How do I register for Summit?
A: All speakers receive a complimentary Friday education Pass. All speakers received a code to use when registering that brings their Friday education pass cost down to $0. If you would like to attend a Thursday workshop or field trip, you can add this to your registration for an additional fee. Can’t find the Friday speaker pass code? Waiting Lists for Field Trips, Workshops, and Education Sessions

Q: If a Thursday field trip or workshop is sold out, can I be added to a waiting list for it?
A: Yes, please contact sarah@georgiaorganics.org with your request and include “Waiting List <workshop/field trip name>” in the subject line. We will notify you by Sept. 8 if we can accommodate your request.

Q: If a Friday education session is sold out, can I be added to a waiting list?
A: Unfortunately, we will not have waiting lists for the Friday education sessions. Please check in at the registration help desk at Summit to see if there are any openings for Friday education sessions.

Scholarships

Q: Do you offer scholarships to attend conference?
A: A limited number of scholarships are available. To learn more and apply, please click here. Applications are due 5/31/2017.

Q: I applied for a scholarship but have not heard anything back, can you help?
A: Applicants will be notified by Friday, June 9 on their award status.

Sponsors

Q: I just completed registration to be a Workshop or Track sponsor. How do I make sure my workshop or track is secured in my name?
A: Please contact abbie@georgiaorganics.org to confirm the track or workshop you will sponsor.

Q: I just registered as a sponsor. How do I register the attendees that are part of my sponsorship package?
A: Once your sponsorship registration is complete, you will receive and email with a discount code and information on how to register your complimentary conference attendees according to your sponsorship level benefits. If you do not receive this email within two business days, please contact Abbie King at abbie@georgiaorganics.org.

Volunteers

Q: Is there an opportunity for discounted registration by volunteering at Summit?
A: We are not currently able to offer discounts for volunteering at Summit. If you would like to volunteer, please contact Summit Coordinator abbie@georgiaorganics.org.
