Georgia Organics is hosting an Organic Growers Farmer Field Day (OGFFD) on Monday, Feb. 19, 2024 from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Adderson’s Fresh Produce and Starlit Roots in Keysville, GA. Organic Growers Farmer Field Days are educational workshops specifically geared towards transitioning and Certified Organic farmers.
The field day will include two farm tours and an educational session. The farm tours will take place at Adderson’s Fresh Produce and Starlit Roots, and attendees will learn about cooperative Organic farm supplies and inputs purchasing and collective farming practices. During the educational session, attendees will learn from Augusta Locally Grown and The Common Market Southeast about accessing local Organic markets, consumer buying trends, regional buying needs, values-based procurement, and benefits of wholesale selling for diverse, local producers.
