Agroecology and Organic Farming Systems in Georgia

May 27 @ 12:00 pm - 3:00 pm

*How to mitigate insect pests, diseases, and environmental changes – and Grow healthy food*

This hands-on workshop will give us insight into how we can efficiently integrate local regenerative agriculture practices of agroecology and organic farming strategies into our local farm operations to build soil health and healthy farm environments, and to mitigate the damage of local insect pest, disease, and climate change on our local small farms.

Our speaker, Justin Duncan is a long time organic farmer and Sustainable Agriculture Specialist with the National Center for Appropriate Technology’s Regional Office.

Duncan has spent years figuring the nuts-and-bolts that make sustainable regenerative organic agroecology farms and gardens – successful and resilient.

Workshop includes organic farm tour and light refreshments.

Come and enjoy!
