July 4, 2018– 3271 Main St. College Park, GA – Join Metro Atlanta Urban Farm and PlantLANTA © for their 4th of July G.E.T. I.T (Green Everything in Time) Initiative.

PlantLANTA © is building this movement as a launching pad for social causes working to educate millennials on food and environmental justice in urban communities. Creating pathways to higher standards of sustainable living, environmental education, economic opportunity, and access to high quality food and shelter. In combining pop culture and sustainability, PlantLANTA © is able to use its platform to relay messages promoting healthy lifestyles targeting thousands of millennials

From 9:30 am to 12:30 pm, volunteers will contribute to the growth of the farm by harvesting and planting organic fruits and vegetables, site cleanup, and painting. Event will begin with a welcome from Bobby Wilson, founder of Metro Atlanta Urban Farm, and Cam Christian, Director of Community Engagement for PlantLANTA ©. Keynote speakers Mayor Deana Holiday Ingraham (East Point, Ga), Terrence Moore, city manager of College Park, and student volunteer engagment leader from Georgia Tech willl also speak before the volunteering begins. @kparyo will be setting the atmosphere by DJ’ing throughout the entire event. All participants will receive a FREE t-shirt, lunch provided by Chick-Fil-A, a certificate of completion for service credit, and will be automatically entered into A3C Hip-Hop Festival ticket raffle. ___________________________________________________________________________________
